By bringing together the resources of the East Midlands creative industries and offering a single portal to potential customer organisations, we can create a significant new channel to market, one of considerable value to potential buyers which will feature prominently in any search engine algorithm - whether driven from a conventional PC, a TV, web pad, PDA, mobile phone or any other consumer or corporate interface.

The Easy Channel for Content project is aimed at helping Creative Industry sector organisations in the East Midlands keep pace with changing technologies associated with the growth in different format requirements.

• Broadband and multi-access point availability will mean that content will need to be available in a variety of formats to meet the needs of an ever-growing market.

• Music and video varies from polyphonic ring tones through narrow-band compression to broad band download and store, to listen or watch on demand. Image formats spread from mobile phones through to plasma screens.

• Overlaid on the conventional pull models are the growing capabilities of push models afforded by DAB and digital TV.

• The ECC project will mean that businesses can lean on the capabilities of a central resource to maintain pace with the changing technology.
